Motorola XT806 Ming Android Smartphone Heading to China Telecom

As reported before, Motorola is planning a Ming style Android smartphone for China market. Now, the device is revealed at China mobile equipment regulatory website, and is called XT806.

Like other Ming phones, the XT806 comes with a transparent flip cover. It also gets the logo of China Telecom’s 3G service. The phones comes with a 480×854 touchscreen, a 5 Megpaixel camera with Flash and 720p video recording, and support for CDMA 3G network. Bluetooth, WiFi and microSD card slot are also included.[engadgetchinese]

At the CommunicAsia 2010, Samsung introduces two new OMNIA Windows Mobile phones, the OMNIA Pro 4 B7350 (left) and OMNIA Pro 5 B6520 (right), both with QWERTY keyboard. These smartphones runs Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.5.
The OMNIA Pro 4 features a 2.62-inch LCD 320×320 LCD display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus and video recording. The OMNIA Pro 5 gets a 2.4-inch 320×240 display, a 2 Megapixel camera. Samsung Wave 2 and Wave 2 Pro Smartphones running Bada

Two Windows Mobile Omnia, then two Android Galaxy, here comes two new Wave running Samsung’s own Bada OS, the Samsung Wave 2 S5250 and Wave 2 Pro S5330, following the Wave S8500. Both phones feature a 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD display, a 3 Megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth, A-GPS and WiFi 802.11n connectivity.

The Wave 2 and Wave 2 Pro supports quad-band GSM/EDGE networks but no 3G. They run Bada OS with TouchWiz 3.0 UI and Social Hub. The Wave 2 Pro adds a side-slide QWERTY keyboard.

Verizon To Release BlackBerry Bold 9650 Smartphone

The largest US mobile carrier Verizon will release the BlackBerry Bold 9650 via online on June 3rd, 2010, which is tomorrow. The smartphone will be available via Verizon Wireless Communications Stores starting June 10th, 2010. A non-camera version will also be available on June 3th, 2010. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is Verizon’s first global smartphone to support GlobalAccess Connect, so it can be used for tethering in more than 200 countries worldwide. GlobalAccess Connect plans are available for $65 monthly access for 5GB allowance in the United States and Canada ($0.05/MB overage) and 100MB allowance in select countries ($5.12/MB overage). There is also a $155 monthly access option that offers 5 GB allowance in the United States and Canada and 200MB allowance in select countries, with the same overage rates as the $65 monthly option.
In case you didn’t know, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 features a 480 x 360 pixels display, a full QWERTY keypad, an optical trackpad, Wi-Fi, Verizon Navigator 6, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, and a 3.2MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash. Verizon’s Bold 9650 will retail for $149.99 with a 2-year contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate.

LG will launch the new LG Optimus (GT450) Android smartphone in the UK on May 1st, 2010. Powered by Android 1.6 OS, this full touchscreen phone uses a 3-inch resistive touch screen (320 x 480), a 3-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a microSD card slot. LG has created the SN Manager (Social Network), which allows you to easily keep track of their Facebook, Twitter and Bebo accounts. Toshiba Releases Two New Windows Mobile 6.5 Smartphones

Toshiba has recently introduced two new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2010. Known as the Toshiba TG02 and K01. Both handsets feature a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The Toshiba TG02 is a tablet-shaped cell phone that is actually an upgraded version of the previously released TG01. Measuring 9.9 mm thick, the new model features a capacitive screen and a new 3D user interface. Meanwhile, the K01 is a slider handset with a sliding keyboard. Measuring at 12.9 mm, it will also be Toshiba’s first smartphone with an AMOLED screen. Both cell phones will have a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB. It’s another smartphone with some pictures leaked, although they’re blurry. The LG Arena Max LU9400 has attracted some attentions with its leaked pictures over the Internet but LG is still quiet about it.
From how it looks in the leaked picture, the LG Arena Max LU9400 has been emphasized with cute design elements that make it a charmer. It would come with a 5-megapixel camera, a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and sport WiFi, GPS capabilities and powered by the 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
No other further details yet about the specs and the image isn’t clear enough to show what OS it runs. No word on where and when it’ll be launched. The phone shows Cyon logo – LG’s Korean phone brand, which might hint it’d be launched in Korea only.
