Orange UK announced that it sold more than 30,000 iPhone 3GS smartphones today, smashing what the company believes to be “the previously published first day sales records for a phone in the UK.”

Orange is the first British carrier to start selling the iPhone after O2, which had an exclusivity deal with Apple until this fall.Vodafone and 3 are also expected to sell the iPhone in the UK, although this will probably happen in early 2010. More of this gadget »
