Nokia announced its all-new super slim X3-02 Touch and Type mobile phone. Unlike the X3 slider, the new device is bar-type phone with both a touchscreen and traditional 12 button phone keypad. The new X3 is Nokia‘s first Touch and Type device, allowing users to tap quickly on the bright color touch screen, as well as enjoy the familiarity of the full keypad for quick fire text messages and phone calls.
Nokia X3-02 features a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera with video recording, FM tuner, Bluetooth, and a microSD card slot. The phone supports 3G/HSPA mobile network and WiFi connectivity.Running the S40 OS, the X3-02 comes with built-in Communities app that keeps you up-to-date with Twitter and Facebook. It measures just 9.6mm thick and comes with a brushed aluminum finish.
The Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type comes in black, white, blue, purple and pink. It will be released later for Euro 125.

Nokia just recently announced their latest Symbian handset called Nokia C6. This is S60 5th edition and includes customizable home screen similar to N97. Obviously this is a GPS enabled device and the GPS related features include Ovi Maps with free lifetime navigation, integrated GPS, and A-GPS receivers, accelerometer for correct orientation of display, automatic geotagging of images, and even a Nokia Maps loader application for a PC.
Other then the GPS features Nokia C6 is still packed. You’ve got a 5MP camera, secondary camera for video calls, LED flash, a full keyboard, WiFi, and a 3.2″ touchscreen. The battery in there is a 1200mAh which should be decent, but if you leave the FM radio on you could easily drain the battery faster than you think. Anyhow, it will cost £289 unlocked or £229 with a pay as you go plan

Nokia will launch the new Nokia E5 messaging phone in Australia, North America, and South America. Announced at the same time with the Nokia C3 and C6, this new Symbian smartphone comes with a QVGA display, a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, HSDPA/HSUPA, A-GPS, Ovi Maps with free navigation, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 5MP camera with LED flash, a 250MB of internal memory and a 2GB card in the box. According to rumors, the Nokia E5 will retail for €180 ($220) unlocked.

British designer Matteo Trisolini has designed the Nokia EC509 Green Core eco-friendly cellphone that is powered by kinetic energy. The phone comes equipped with a hole to spin and charge the phone without the need of a battery. This eco-friendly handset also uses a recycled PET screen cover, LED battery indicators and rubber to reduce the e-waste and improve the environment. Nokia N8 12MP Camera Phone Is Now Official

Nokia has finally and officially confirmed the Nokia N8 12-megapixel camera phone that is powered by Symbian^3 OS. Available in black, silver, blue, orange and lime, the phone supports a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 16GB of built-in storage (expandable up to 48GB via microSD card), and a 12MP AutoFocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a large sensor that rivals those found in compact digital cameras. Its camera also supports face recognition and HD (720p) video recording. The new Nokia N8 will be released in Q3 of 2010 for €370 ($492).

Nokia to release free turn-by-turn GPS, too

If you’ve been paying attention you’ll know that Google announced a free turn-by-turn GPS service not too long ago. Well, Nokia is hot on their heels with some free turn-by-turn GPS themselves.
If you’ve got a Nokia X6, N97 Mini, E72, E55, E52, 6730 Classic, 6710 Navigator, 5800 XpressMusic, 5800 Navigation Edition or 5230 then you are good to go and you can just get the Ovi Maps update now.
If TomTom and other GPS manufacturers weren’t scared before, they are definitely getting there now.
