Nokia 5235 Coming in 2010
Author: admin12 Dec 2009
The year isn’t over yet but as early as now, we are getting teasers on some potent phones scheduled for release. Nokia, one of the popular mobile phone brands, is scheduled to release a successor for its Nokia 5230 with the coming of the Nokia 5235. The phone is expected to come out by the first quarter of 2010 with features like a 3.2” touch screen, 2 megapixel camera and a Symbian S60 5th edition. The 5235 practically carries the same specs of the 5230 but cheaper at about $214, which is €100 cheaper.
There is one lacking feature though, the Nokia 5235 doesn’t have a GPS. Well you just can’t have them all right?
Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition for the U.S.
Author: admin11 Dec 2009
Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition we mentioned back in August was just announced for the U.S.
This is an upgrade from the basic Nokia 5800 package. It includes device lifetime voice-guided navigation for North America and a car kit (CR-103). It comes preloaded with Ovi Maps for mobile that offers turn by turn directions for both cars and pedestrians.
When in your vehicle the 5800 acts as a full-fledged GPS navigation system and when you’re on foot it can take you up one way streets, through parks, and other shortcuts.
You don’t need a data connection – which is the good part. Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition comes with maps for the entire U.S. and Canada.
Some other features of the Nokia 5800 include stereo speakers and surround sound, 35 hours of playback time, HSDPA support, 3.2MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, and memory expandable up to 16GB.
Nokia 6700 Classic Gold Edition
Author: admin10 Dec 2009

The Nokia 6700 Classic made its debut all the way back in January but at the time of its announcement, it wasn’t exactly the nicest looking phone on the market. Luckily, that has been remedied by the Nokia 6700 Classic Gold Edition, pictured above.
This device features the same specs as the normal 6700 Classic but features an 18-carat gold finish and a special wallpaper to go along with it.
Of course, it’s not going to be too cheap at €370 or $550 when it drops early next year but that’s to be expected considering it is gold.

Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition
Author: admin8 Dec 2009

Nokia just unveiled Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition – their cheapest phone with GPS navigation. Of course it is pre-loaded with Nokia Maps which is the GPS navigation software from the company that lets you get turn-by-turn driving directions with voice guidance included. Not only that but the hardware even supports an integrated digital compass.
Another neat feature is that the maps are locally stored on the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition. Nokia is smart – because the markets they’re targeting with this low end phone may not always have data coverage – and even if they do the customers may not be able to afford it.
Wait until the second quarter of 2010 for Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition and then you can spend about EUR 110 on it.
Nokia Unik Concept Phone
Author: admin7 Dec 2009

Here is a crazy idea from a French designer named Clement Logereau. Called the Nokia Unik concept phone, it is made up of 152 small squares which allows the handset to transform itself by adding a new square that is different in material and color. The squares can be added after purchase from Nokia Stores which come in a variety of “square” types (metal, transparent and rubber). While the concept does seem interesting, a few more tweaks may be needed for this Nokia Unik Concept Phone to take out its concept tag. What do you think?

Nokia slashing smartphone lineup in half for 2010

One of the most natural secondary effects leading manufacturer of cell phones in the world is that you produce many different models – many – which facilitates much too for the product planning, engineering, and marketing at all corners cut for even devices most important in the herd. Nokia appears to come under the terms of which, although by announcing that it you scale from "around 20" smartphones published this year to approximately one half of that in 2010, allowing give each phone the TLC so desperately need. It is interesting to note that the company declares that it is in the lower – middle range smartphone domain as a hot new competitive boundary – and an area where it will "have tools to play offence [sic], as well as defence,"perhaps through its continued commitment in Symbian even that he seeks."Maemo to cultivate high end" search By any measure, it seems Nokia starts to get an indication – but it is always someone guess what kinds of products at the end of the day will see these guys for 12 to 18 months
Nokia N900 impressively demos WebGL 3D graphics
Author: admin3 Dec 2009

We’re not sure anyone out there needs any more proof that the Nokia N900 is powerhouse, but just in case you still had doubts, check this video of a WebGL-enabled Firefox build smoothly rendering some complex 3D models on Espoo’s "internet tablet with phone capabilities." It’s pretty impressive stuff, especially considering WebGL is still being standardized and it hasn’t gotten beyond Firefox nightlies on the desktop yet.
