Lenovo will release later this year its ThinkPad W701 and the dual-screen ThinkPad W701ds, which serves as the sucessor as the W700ds. Powered by Intel processor, the W701 and W701ds are getting up to 16GB of memory and up to NVIDIA Quadro graphics.
The ThinkPad W701ds will have an extra 10.6-inch LED-backlight display. They both include Wacom Digitizer for pen control. No words yet on availability.

ASUS today rolled out the G73JH-X1 17.3-inch gaming laptop in the US market via Newegg. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7 720QM quad core processor with a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics, an 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, an 8-cell battery and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The G73JH-X1 features a 17.3-inch (1920 x 1080) LED backlight display. Additional specs include built-in stereo speakers, a 2.0MP webcam, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, an Ethernet LAN port, HDMI and VGA outputs, four USB ports, and an 8-in-1 media card reader. There are quite a number of wireless solutions that have recently emerged in the market, which allow you to stream content wirelessly from your laptop to HDTV. ASUS NX90Jq laptop

ASUS and Bang&Olufsen have teamed up to create a good looking laptop codenamed NX90Jq.
At this moment there isn’t many information about the device because it was just presented at CES, but we do know that it boasts a 18.4-inch display and is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor. The graphics part is from a GeForce 334M and the Dual-Drive can hold up to 1280GB of data.
The laptop also comes with a Blu-Ray drive, USB 3.0 interface, and believe or not it has dual touchpad capability so you can make the same moves seen in movies like in “Minority Report” to zoom in/out of images, rotate, etc.
ViewSonic VNB102 Laptop

ViewSonic has released a new laptop called VNB102 which can be considered a bit “poor”, that is, if you compare it to other laptop models in the market.
The ViewBook VNB102 boasts an Intel Atom N270 with a 10.1-inch display screen, and only 1GB of memory RAM, and it doesn’t even feature bluetooth. Obviously it has the basic USB 2.0 ports, as well as ethernet and a 3-in-1 memory card reader.
Other details of the ViewBook VNB102 include a battery life of 6 hours, a webcam, and a price of $400 with a release date set for 18th of December.

For as long as we can remember, AMIMON’s WHDI technology has been reserved for use in high-end AV components — HDTVs, Blu-ray players, set-top-boxes, etc. Today, the outfit has finally figured out a way to break free from its current box and get all up in the grille of the mainstream market. As of now, WHDI modules are being made available for netbook and laptop manufacturers, enabling portable PCs to send or receive high-def signals from other WHDI-enabled devices sans cabling. The outfit expects lappies with their tech built-in to ship sometime in 2010, and when we prodded for more information on who exactly would be taking ‘em up on their offer, the company stated that specific partners wouldn’t be announced for a few more months. Portability and battery life are the current trends, along with value of course, which has brought about the recent surge of netbooks. However as I’ve said before — and I still stand by the statement — netbooks are great for simple tasks, but lack the power to be more than a supplement to a real notebook or desktop system.
