  • Expect another growing controversy surrounding this app soon as far as approval and denied iPhone apps are concerned. This time, the Google Wave was spotted conspicuously at the iTunes App Store and you can get it for only $0.99. The thing here is that this app is not endorsed by Google. And with that in mind, don’t be surprised if you see it disappear soon (if not yet). So if you want to risk it, download and see what happens. If not, well, just wait for the real thing and from Google too!

  • OnLive demonstrates iPhone app, set to redefine mobile gaming?

Okay, we admit to still being a little bit unsure about OnLive’s pledges for high-end, high-resolution, lag-free gaming on any ‘ol device with bandwidth, but we want to believe, and so it’s with skeptical optimism that we report on news of mobile implementations. The company has demonstrated an iPhone app in which users are able to play against gamers on a PC or on the company’s MicroConsole — despite not having a single button to press. It’s interesting stuff but, according to OnLive’s CEO Steve Perlman, it’ll be awhile before we see this in the wild, as plans for initial mobile apps will be limited to checking game stats and watching live gameplay. However, we presume it’ll be a small step from there to flip the switch and two-way communications, meaning that perhaps by the time Modern Warfare 3 hits the wires you can keep gaming even while you’re commuting.

  • Controversial Caricature App Gets Approval

Apple really has to get its act together. This concerns policies on approving apps. Take the case of the Bobble Rep-111th Congress Addition app. Supposedly under the developer license agreement, Apple forbids ridiculing public figures. This caricature app was originally rejected but later on approved since they deem caricatures as harmless. So there are loopholes as you can see in their policies but if this was the case, why didn’t they consider that in the first place before rejecting this bobble-head app which you can now get for $0.99 at the app store? A little consistency could really save them the criticism!

    TweetDeck for iPhone App

    NTT DoCoMo F-04B cellphone

Back in June, popular Twitter desktop app TweetDeck made a splash when it launched its iPhone app. It was significant, as it was the first Twitter iPhone app to integrate with a desktop version and it provided a very real challenger to the Tweetie iPhone app.

Since then, there have not been major updates to the app, while Tweetie(tweetie) got a whole new version. Now TweetDeck is fighting back with its first major update (v. 1.1.1), one that includes full integration with Facebook.
