Gadget for Tag:HTC Phone

Shut up, our heart beats! HTC just released the button "Go pressing" for European and Asian shipping its latest object of desire, and it has served a notice to U.S. phone lovers, the HD2 also comes soon. For a carrier "major U.S." some time "early 2010" is exactly the same time as the holder XPERIA X10, which should give rise to very interesting decisions to be Slated countries, More of this gadget »

  • HTC's HD2 continues to impress, reveals multi-touch web browsing

We’ve seen plenty about HTC’s hot HD2, gone hands-on and sized it up next to everyone’s most/least favorite smartphone, but there’s one thing we haven’t seen yet: multi-touch in IE. The video embedded below from Techblog.gr is in a language you may not quite understand, but certainly everyone can grok the snappy UI performance and the pinch zooming demonstrated at the 2:20 mark. It does look a wee bit unresponsive at this point, but HTC still has time to make things perfect before releasing it here — though to be honest we’d rather just have it now.

  • HTC Tilt2 now available on AT&T

Those looking for a slightly more QWERTY-equipped WinMo 6.5 device for AT&T than the HTC Pure need look no further than its stablemate, the Tilt2, now that it’s officially available to all comers. More of this gadget »

In an almost perfect world, this spy shot would be of the rumored HTC Dragon, reminiscent of the HD2 with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and packing the latest version of Android / Sense UI — in a more perfect world, this would all have been confirmed last week and in our hands today delivered via unicorn express, but that’s obviously not happening. Still, there’s something new and exciting about this device, but we’re grasping at straws beyond the handful of pics The Unlockr managed to obtain, several more of which can found just beyond the read link.

  • HTC promised way back at Mobile World Congress in February that the Touch Pro2 would be fully upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5 when the binaries went gold, and… well, here we are. Sure enough, they’re making good on the promise by rolling out official updates for both the Touch Pro2 and the Snap so far, More of this gadget »

We know the HD2 is hitting O2 later this month and Vodafone is getting the handset in Spain in December, but now it looks like the unlocked version isn’t too far off either: UK retailer Clove says it’ll be out on November 11 for £469, about $740 US. Importing will soon follow, to be sure, but though the phone is unlocked and sim-free we’ll be limited to EDGE in the States until that US-specific version hits our shores next year. The question is: will we be strong enough to wait?

Ruh roh. Without claiming that there’s some sort of high-speed conspiracy going on at Sprint (read: there’s not), we’d like to point out that quite a few early adopters are claiming that their Hero refuses to hop on the carrier’s EV-DO Rev. A network. We took a peek back at the company’s press release for this very phone, and sure enough, the Rev. A experience is promised. We’re guessing that a simple firmware update will be all it takes to remedy the issue (if there’s truly an issue at all), but ’til then, there’s always WiFi! Right, guys?

Sprint HTC Hero now on sale to everyone

Sure, you’ve been able to get it a little early in one way or another, but the Sprint HTC Hero officially launched today, which means a second US carrier is now selling an Android device. High five. Now, is anyone spending the $179 ($479 off-contract)? And Sprint customers, we have to ask: Hero or Pre?
