TI reduces size, power consumption, and cost with its new WiLink 7.0 platform. It combines GPS, WiFi 802.11n, Blutooth, and FM transmit and receiver. Onkyo Japan has announced the release of their C411 PineTrail-based netbooks, which come equipped with built-in digital TV and FM/AM radio tuner. The Onkyo C411 netbooks look pretty similarly to the Acer Aspire 532h, the two tuners on the netbooks seem unusual compared to what other netbooks have. But the downside is the C411 packs with a 3-cell battery that lasts only 3.3 hours.
The Onkyo C411 netbooks are packed with an Intel Atom N450 (1.66GHz) processor, a GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, wireless b/g/n, 0.3 megapixel webcam, loaded with Windows 7 starter, PureScape for TV/radio tuning and it has a 10.1 inch glossy display with resolution of 1024×600. It’s also equipped with the usual array of ports such as USB, Ethernet, SD card slot and an additional for attaching to an external antenna to boost the TV/radio signals. It weighs 1.1kg and priced at 54,800 yen ($598).
